Rizal Mallarangeng : ウィキペディア英語版 | Rizal Mallarangeng
Rizal Mallarangeng (born Makassar, South Sulawesi; 29 October 1964) is an Indonesian socialite and the second of three brothers. Mallarangeng has been known as a campaign advisor to various political parties and was once labeled an opportunist after he was appointed to a senior role in the Golkar Party in 2009. Since December 2012 Mallarangeng and his brothers are the subject of media coverage stemming from a corruption scandal that forced his brother to resign as Indonesian Sports Minister. ==Controversy== On December 17, 2012, Mallarangeng and his brothers Andi Mallarangeng and Zulkarnaen “Choel” were portrayed in a caricature on the cover of the critically acclaimed Tempo magazine. They were shown carrying money from the graft-ridden Hambalang sports center project, subject of a corruption investigation. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named both brothers a suspect in the mega scandal and slapped a travel ban on both Andi Mallarangeng and Choel, a political consultant to Fox Indonesia. Andi Mallarangeng was forced to resigned from his positions as Indonesia's Youth and Sports Minister and as the Secretary of the Democratic Party of Indonesia’s Board of Patrons. Andi Mallarangeng is the first minister to resign on graft allegations since the country's powerful Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) began operating in 2003 with a mandate to crack down on rampant graft.
